Some Days

Some days I just don't believe my life is real. Like when I get to chat with the CEO of Microsoft on a daily basis or attend a wedding with the CEO of Amazon.

Or days when I do twelve times what my job actually should be, meet important corporate contacts and find out I will be training the new VP of North America for Starbucks. Yeah, me and Mason, just going to integrate the third most important person in the company to Starbucks. How is that real life?

And like how I knew the man who invented Old Navy. Got to chat with him quarterly at American Eagle, a brilliant man with an insane eye for business.

I'm not trying to boast; I just sometimes step back and realize how fortunate I am to be in this place, this hub of business and be around these influential people. As interesting as my rocky career has been and for how hard I've worked and how little it seems I have achieved it's good for me to have these interactions, to glean something more than me, to see who I can influence and what I can make happen in the right place with the right attitude. Bellevue is a strange place and I am so lucky to be here and to call it home.
